Reverend Jackie H. Williams Jr. was born
May 2, 1961 in Goldsboro North Carolina, and is the Eldest son of five
children of Bishop Jackie and Evangelist Margaret Williams of Newark N.J.
He is married to Karon Denise Sherard of twenty-five years, and together
they are the proud parents of one son, Brandon Montrell Williams. After
leaving High School, Williams joined the U.S Army, during which time he
received his calling into the ministry and was ordained with the Church
of God in Christ while serving in Heidelberg West Germany. During Williams
10 year tour in Germany, He served as the Interim Pastor of the Bad Hersfeld
Church of God in Christ for four years, as well as the YPWW (Young
People Willing Workers) Jurisdictional President of West Germany.
After serving twelve years in the U.S Army, the Lord saw fit to call Rev.
Williams out of the U.S. Army and back to the United States to pursue
an education in ministry. Williams is a graduate of Southern Connecticut
State University, and is presently pursuing his Masters of Arts degree
in religion at Hartford Seminary in Hartford Connecticut. Reverend Jackie
H. Williams served faithfully for 15 years as the Praise and Worship Leader
of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in New London, CT., where the
Reverend Dr. Benjamin K. Watts is the Pastor. An exciting new chapter
in Rev. Williams’s life began when he accepted the call to be the
Pastor of the Mount Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of New Haven Connecticut
in October 2006. Rev. Williams is committed to bringing the good news
of Jesus Christ to people all over the world, literally changing the world
one person at a time. |
